Wife Horse and "Wife Horse"

lots of work still to do.
Chrysalis' legs are made of milliput. Its a much tougher clay that should stand up to some powertool abuse better than the supersculpey.
Totally looks like she is wearing socks >.>

Could you please tell why it's another one wire around the grey wire? And on the second pic - why do you use the yellow wire for the horn?

The thinner wire gives the clay something to grip onto so it doesn't slide off when sculpting. The horn wire is a bent paperclip. This wire is good because it's  much stiffer than other thin wires.

Thank you very much)
Could you tell me please, can I use the soft wire or it's bad ?

Soft wire is still good but for this project I needed something a bit tougher. As the horns are so thin and tend to be fragile the stiffer wire adds more strength.

Love them both! I wish I could use a power tool to make holes in my plush Chrissy's legs XD

Powertools are magic. For super soft cuddly plush horses, not so much. :D

Hm, getting Chrysalis's insect shell segments will be cool. I'm interested to see how you do it.

Ahaha, I got a kick out of "Wife Horse." Poor Cadence. These look spectacular so far, I cannot wait to see these done. Especially Chrysalis, she looks menacing even in her WIP stage.
