What started out as a detail practice piece turned into quite possibly my favorate sculpt so far.

Made from Milliput, Greenstuff, plasticard and various watch pieces.

Two questions for you. First, what scale is the figure? Second, I assume there is some form of armature in figure, but did use one for the instrument as well? Nice work.

She was not done to any particular scale but she is 130mm from base to the top of the hat.

There is a wire armature running throughout the entire thing and also one for the cello. The body armatuer follows the shape of the arms and legs, the cello armature was just a figure 8 loop to support the basic shape. All were made with basic garden wire.

I have not worked with millput before. Does it require any heat curing the way polymer clay like Sculpey do, or is it air drying?

Its a two part epoxy putty. Mix the two parts together and it cures rock solid after a few hours. No baking/firing needed. It will set underwater so not sure if it counts as an air dry medium. Once dry it can be sanded, drilled and carved very easily. I absolutly love the stuff and would recommend it to anyone.
